Riverstone Books is the LARGEST independent bookstore in Pittsburgh.

Open in the fall of 2017 and located in McCandless Crossing, Riverstone Books features a well-curated selection of literary and popular fiction, nonfiction, and children’s books.  In addition, we offer a variety of gift items, greeting cards, and children’s puzzles, educational games, and literary stuffed animals.

Our experienced booksellers are voracious readers who love to match readers to books they will love.  We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and if we do not have the book you are looking for, we will be happy to order a copy for you. One of our favorite services is offering our best customers the opportunity to pre-order new releases in order to guarantee their copy of the best new books on release day.

In the summer of 2021, RIverstone Books expanded and opened a second store in Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood. The Riverstone family is very excited to become a part of the vibrant community that is Squirrel Hill. We invite the residents in our new neighborhood to experience our excellent customer service and become a part of our community!

Indeed, we are pleased to be stepping in and stepping up to provide readers of all ages a place to find the latest releases, old favorites, the perfect gift, or to meet other readers in our book clubs and events. As experienced booksellers, we also know the value of talking with a fellow reader when you are looking for the right book for yourself or a friend, or you just have some time to browse. Come in and say hello - we can’t wait to meet you!

Of course, while our brick and mortar stores can’t be open 24-hours a day, our online store sure is!
