Dr. Kimberly Horn is a Pittsburgh-based research psychologist, professor (Virginia Tech), and author with nearly 30 years of experience leading studies in public health, prevention, and health behavior. Her research has examined critical areas such as addiction, nutrition, physical activity, and mental health, consistently emphasizing the vital role of social networks and human connection in fostering healthier lifestyles and communities. This insight led to her current focus on the science of social connection and its influence on well-being across the lifespan. In her debut book, Friends Matter, For Life, Dr. Horn brings together decades of research, real-world insight, and a deep commitment to helping people build healthier, more connected lives.
